Brian,
Decent set up. love the eel.
I noticed in the first pic you have 0 surface aggitation. Your PH may suffer becuase of that among other things.
I'm not much of a fan of the cones on the koralias. IMO the karalias strongsuit is how it can spread alot of water in alot of different directions so you don't have any dead spots. You should be able to get good surface aggitation and still hit the bottom of the tank with the flow if you didnt have the cones on.
It's your tank, just sayin'

Pulled the cones, hopefully the little smalls don't comment Harri Kari. Also added a huge Monti cap. Looks amazing, though I did lose 2 years of my life putting him in the tank.I hate rearranging things. It's like dominoes.

That's a neat shot with the monti and the eel :)

How big would you say the eel is? I hope you can keep water quality good while still keeping that eel full.

Comparing his Orange Monti cap. plates to mine I would guess the Snow Flake at >15".
120g RR with 40g sump/fuge.
ACIII, 716w of MH and T-5, 3600gph constant plus 2600gph surges, ATO, Ozone, etc...

How did you attach the monti. You said that you hate rearranging things. You can use superglue gell with good success without having to move things around. The picture of the eel under the cap is very cool.
You will want to make sure that your corals are secured well so that your eel isn't constantly banging them arround.

15" is near dead on, magic indeed. The eel is a big PIA in the coral placement category, I often find things laying on the sand due to his nighttime movements, even with a ton of superglue. He worth it though, he's like a dog, always pacing back and forth whenever I'm in the room waiting to be fed. Mostly my newer zoo's and loose acro (need more glue). The monti shouldn't/hasn't yet been a problem, this is grown nearly a year on the rock it was on, bought the rock with the coral last week from F-15 crew chief. As he is a digger though and I also have an aggressive sand sifter (Dragon Goby) I have to blow off the coral regularly between those two characters. The waste hasn't yet been an issue. I have a monster skimmer thats pulling a cup a day so I think I'm good there.

P.S. Tank size and watts are all in the sig block. Plus the link show 20 more photos of the tank, is the link in first post working?

P.S.S. Aquariumreef, what the hell is that drawing?

Thats 96 watts total.

The scientific name of the snowflake eel is the Echidna nebulosa (Ahl, 1789)

Other Common Names:

Clouded, Nebulous, and Starry Eel or Moray Eel.
